Career Development Services
Designed to provide educational and employment support to survivors of torture.
Services offered in this program prepare survivors for the workforce in the US by equipping them with tools and skills necessary to find and keep jobs.
Survivors meet first with the Program Coordinator for an in- depth discussion on their background experience, and develop specific career related short- and long-term goals, which will establish a foundation for their professional pathway.
The program offers services such as:
Resume writing
Writing clear, concise, relevant cover letters
Searching online job databases for relevant professional positions
Online or paper job applications
Researching what potential employers seek in a particular job opening
Identifying and pursuing short- term career objectives as they work toward long-term goals, and more.
