Pro Bono Massage Therapist
TASSC offers massage therapy services to survivors to help support their physical and psychological well-being. In addition to relieving muscle tension, stiffness and pain, massage therapy promotes relaxation and deeper sleep, and may also help to reduce mental stress, anxiety and fatigue.
Are you a DC licensed massage therapist seeking an opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of survivors?
If so, we invite you to partner with us.
Massage program requirements:
To participate in this program as a Massage Therapist, we ask that you are available at a minimum of one day per month for 2-4 hours. We typically prefer to offer massage services on Fridays during our normal working hours, from 9:00am - 2:30pm. All massage services will be provided at the TASSC office for TASSC survivors. You must be licensed in DC and have experience working with trauma survivors. This is a unique experience to provide healing massage services to a deserving population.
To participate in this program as a Massage Therapist:
Reach out to us by submitting a volunteer interest form. Let us know a little about you and why you are interested in this program.
If your experience and availability meets our need, we’ll reach out to schedule a time for an interview.
we’ll then work to schedule a day for you to come in to provide massage therapy to tassc survivors.
